Hi, I’m Jahayra Bacon
LPC, LMHP
With more than 12 years of experience in mental health and a decade in the medical field, I work with individuals, couples, and groups who are seeking growth, healing, and meaningful change. From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to helping others. It’s not just what I do; it’s who I am. I believe healing begins when we feel truly heard, when we are given space to be vulnerable, and when we know we are not alone. My goal is to provide that space—a place where you can share your story, process your emotions, find the strength to move forward with hope, and simply feel like you can just breathe.
My passion for mental health was shaped both by my upbringing and by my own lived experiences. Growing up in a military family, I witnessed the invisible wounds of trauma and PTSD ripple through loved ones’ lives, which sparked my dedication to this work. I volunteered with military support programs and saw the profound impact that care, connection, and understanding could have.
But my journey into this work became deeply personal when I faced my own struggles with infertility and loss. I endured countless medical procedures, surgeries, IVF treatments, and the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages. I know what it feels like in moments where hope felt impossible. I know firsthand the emotional rollercoaster of infertility—the hope, the frustration, the anxiety, the grief, the resilience, and the loneliness that often accompanies it. I also experienced the overwhelming feeling of being unseen in my pain, and I came to understand just how isolating infertility and loss can be, especially when there are so few people who truly grasp the emotional toll it takes.
These experiences changed me both personally and professionally. They led me to seek advanced, specialized training in infertility counseling from leading experts in the field, equipping me with the skills to walk alongside others through these uniquely painful and complex challenges.
This is why I am especially passionate about supporting individuals and couples navigating infertility, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. I know the weight of these struggles, and I also know that healing and hope are possible. You don’t have to go through this storm alone. Whether you’re facing heartbreak, uncertainty, or simply looking for someone who understands, I am here to help you find clarity, resilience, and a way forward.
If you’re ready to take the first step toward emotional wellness, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
